The April 2008 Weighted Scores for selection for the Gold Squad are now available.


In preparation for the team selection for the 2009 World Games, Magnum Archery will be hosting the first FITA Field Tournament on the weekend of 30/31 August. Details will follow in the SA Archer Collect your invitation here.
On average, those archers who participated in the 2006/2007 league had an improvement of 18% on their 2007/2008 scores. The average deviation from the league score to a tournament score was less than 2%.

The SANAA league is open to all members and gives you the opportunity to improve your shooting skills. The 2008/2009 league is now open.

The 2008 Schools League is now open. The round for the schools league is 60 arrows on a 40cm diameter target face or triple face at 18m for all classes, shot indoor or outdoor.

The South African National Archery Association (SANAA) is the national sports federation for target archery in South Africa. It is affiliated to a number of sporting bodies, including the international governing body FITA, SASCOC, the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee, and Archery South Africa.
The SANAA committee consists of Executive members and Representatives from the Provincial bodies. Through the national federation, our archers participate internationally. SANAA presents target events on a national level and indoor events on a provincial level. A wide variety of disciplines and equipment styles are catered for during National Championships.

SANAA is looking to build capacity and identify talent. To assist provinces in achieving this goal, funding has been made available. Provinces are encouraged to identify projects that would grow the sport and identify new talent. Provincial secretaries are requested to submit their plans to the SANAA Secretary, along with the budgets for consideration.

In order to streamline the indoor league, Congress voted to run the league from the period between indoor nationals to indoor nationals. Accordingly, the indoor league will end in November 2008, and prize giving will take place at the Indoor Nationals to be held in the Western Cape in November 2008.
