Protea Colours

The Colours Board through SASCOC is the statutory body that in terms of the Act has the power to award National Colours and confer honours and awards on individuals in recognition of their contribution to sport in South Africa. Protea (National) Colours is made on the recommendation of Archery South Africa.

 

 

 

Honorary members

Honours are the associations way of recognising outstanding services to the sport of archery by individuals and come in different forms:

 

  • Gold and Silver Plaque - for outstanding services to national archery
  • Bronze Plaque - for outstanding services to archery, particularly within their own province or club
  • Honorary Life membership of the Association for persons who have distinguished themselves by their work for SANAA of for the sport in general

Any province can nominate a candidate and nominations must carry a full motivation. All recommendations are made by the SANAA Council and awarded at the annual banquet in the year following the nomination.
