[sanitised]

As part of the country’s preparations for the World Cup commencing later this year, ACSA will be implementing hand luggage restrictions. This is being done in conjunction with all domestic airlines in an attempt to ensure a reduction in unnecessary flight delays, mainly caused by at-home check-ins and self-service kiosks, contributing to the increase in hand luggage. The restrictions have already been implemented at O.R. Tambo International since 20 January 2010 and will be enforced at the Cape Town and Durban International Airports from this coming Saturday, 6 February 2010. The restrictions are as follows: For Economy Class Passengers: 1 bag + 1 laptop. For First Class/Business Passengers: 2 bags + 1 laptop. The weight of each bag may not be greater than 7 kg. The dimensions for each bag may not exceed 115cm (56cm+36cm+23cm).![]()
