SOUTH AFRICAN MASTERS GAMES 2011

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE:
Open to any master/veteran athlete who complies with the age restriction as determined by the International Masters Games Assopciation and who is a SANAA member.

AGE CATEGORIES
As determined by SANAA.  From 30 yaers old in five year brackets.

TEAM SPORT
Clubs or provinces may enter teams.

GAMES PROGRAMME
27 APRIL TO 1 MAY 2011:

VENUE
Host city Port Elizabeth/Nelson Mandela bay. Shooting dates to be advised by the organising committee.

CODES’ OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONIES/PRESENTATIONS
To be conducted by at venues.

GAMES REGISTRATION FEE (PAYABLE TO SA Masters Sports Association):
•    R150 for Participants, umpires, managers
•    R 50 for Companions.  Entry fee to be determined by the organising committee
Athletes may participate in more than one sport at no extra cost.
Entry fee includes-Get together function, souvenir programme, accreditation cards, venues, administration costs and medals.

ENTRY FORMS:
Distributed by email, fax, local Games office, SAMSA’S website. Proof of payment to accompany ENTRY FORM.

CLOSING DATE FOR REGISTRATION:
•    Early Bird Entries – 28 February 2011(Lucky draw for the first individual/team entry).
•    Final closing date – 30 March 2011.

DRUG TESTING:
May be conducted at all venues.

ACCOMMODATION/TRAVEL:
Participants own cost. Nelson Mandela TOURISM official supplier for the best tariffs on hotels, holiday flats, self-catering apartments guest houses, camping and caravan sites.

SAMSA’S APPAREL (4 weeks delivery):
Track suit= R420, White Jacket= R265, Golf shirt= R 100, Cap (bottle green) = R 75 and Sport bag = R 100 Cricket Hats = R130
Colours – green and gold, embroidered with SAMSA’s logo and “SOUTH AFRICAN MASTERS”.
Please place orders with SAMSA’s office together with payment. Fax deposit slip stating name and sport code as proof of payment. Closing date for orders 28 February 2011.  No apparel will be on sale during the 2011 Games. ORDER NOW!
