The South African National Archery Association (SANAA) is the recognized body for Olympic archery in South Africa and is affiliated to the Continental Federation and World Archery. The SANAA executive committee consists of volunteers elected by representatives of the Provincial Archery Associations, known collectively as the council. In turn, the provincial associations are comprised of volunteers elected by their provincial clubs. Clubs who are affiliated to the Provincial Archery Association are automatically affiliated to the national association and fall under the Code of Conduct.
Provincial associations are responsible for development of the sport of archery through their clubs. All provincial archery associations are affiliated to the Provincial Sports Councils who are responsible for the development of the sport at grass roots level and the providing of resources and facilities.
Provincial secretaries perform an important function and are the primary link between the national association and the provincial members. The provincial secretaries, along with the provincial chairmen and chairwomen are responsible for the clubs under their auspices.
Provincial secretaries are the link between the clubs in their provinces, and like all SANAA members are volunteers who offer their expertise and service to the sport.
